Global Projects Management

Global Project Management can be briefly defined as an application of interactive logistics management practices in a distributed setting where the work takes place within multiple geographical regions over an extended period of time. Most of the work involves close coordination of multiple shipments integrating a variety of freight modes within the global environment. The global scale creates an environment of very rapid change. The project manager needs to be aware of time zone differences, different holidays around the globe, vacations in different cultures and many other rapid changes on the project. Any project can get complicated and convoluted with many moving parts and phases of progression. This is the reason for the Global Project Coordinator to understand the specifics of the Global Project business well and control different aspects together in one well working mechanism for the whole span of the project life.
